I'm new to 4x5 so beg pardon if this is a dumb question. I just got a Pacemaker Speed Graphic, 1949 or 1950 with the standard 127mm f/4.7 Ektar lens with Supermatic shutter.

The diaphragm seems to be working: wide open at f/4.7, stops down to f/32. But then the slider can keep going a little further past f/32 and it stops down to to what looks to me like at least f/64.

Would you say my diaphragm is out of whack with respect to the aperture markings, or is that normal behaviour for one of those lenses? If it really is stopping down beyond f/32, would those tiny apertures be usable?

Thanks!

Normal.

Usable? Depends on your preferences and how large you want to enlarge.
