Hello Everyone.
New to the forum. I am the proud owner of a recently purchased Speed Graphic Pacemaker. Found it on a shelf at goodwill.
It has seen better days with the leather in bad shape on the lid, and in need of some good cleaning, but the mechanics are in perfect working order, including the focal plane shutter
Anyway it has a serial # 849535 My research in this forum and on the web puts it between '47-'50, but wondered if someone here could help dial in an actual year. Looking forward to cleaning up this great piece of iconic photo history.
Some details:
-Graflok back
-Kalart focus spot and rangefinder on the side.
-Foursided collapsable metal viewing hood
-lens is 135mm Graflex Optar Wollensak #882302
-Simple Speed Control lever.
Thank you. |

Serial number 849535 was issued 7/18/1950. The next batch of 4x5 Pacemaker serial numbers was issued 9/12/1950. |
