I recently became the owner of my grandfather's National Graflex Series II. My mother , who found the camera, has no recollection of how it is supposed to work, and there was no manual with the camera. My main questions pertain to three areas: film type, how to load it, and controls. I believe it to be a 35mm based on the size of the body. Is this correct? I checked the other listings for the smaller Graflex cameras, but their controls and loading instructions make no sense for this unit. I would appreciate any help offered, as this is a sort of heirloom that I'd actually love to use. |

I can't help you with the controlls, but it uses 120 film (readily available) and shoots a 2.25x2.5 neg giving 10 exposures on a roll, much like a Hasselblad. The II means its a later model capable of taking an 140mm telephoto lens.

I can photocopy the users manual that I have
and send you the copy.
You can email me the correct address at

My question is this:
Why do are the shutter speeds numbered
1-9, but omit 8?
