I recently got a batch of wooden 4x5 sheet film holders, and several of the dark slides were cracked or dinged, so I suspect they will (sooner or later) cause light leaks. It seems like it would be easy enough to cut out a replacement slide, but I'm not sure what material to use: the right thickness, the right strength, light proof. Suggestions?
Thanks,

Many of my Baco film holders had aluminum darkslides. It shouldn't be that difficult to find the right gage material and have a tin smith cut them for you. alternatively, you could search around and find some film holders larger than yours can cut the darkslides down to fit.
