Hello. New here with a few questions. I bought a RB series D in what appears to be good condition. I have adjusted the shutter tension to get a little snap to it and it seems to be working well. I seem to have a stuck lens shutter and can't get the lens board to come out. I lift it against spring tension but not enough to get clearance on the bottom to get it to clear. The other question I have is, why are there shutter speeds on the lens? I assumed that was handled entirely by the curtain. Are there any online instructions on the basics of using this camera? I looked at Butkus etc and couldn't find anything comprehensive. I tried to post pics but it looks difficult to do here. Thank you in advance. |

The RB Series D is a reflex camera and is covered in the Reflex Help section of this site. There is a link to the online Reflex Camera instructions in the section heading.
It sounds like someone put a shuttered lens in the camera. The lens board will just clear the frame so you may need to push up a little harder to get the lens board out. Best I remember they're finicky. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
