I understand that on a 2X3 bellows camera the maximum focal length lens is about 210mm. I believe that I saw a photo of a Rodenstock Rotelar 270mm / 1:5.6 mounted on a Century Graflex lens board. Does anyone know if this lens will work on a 2X3 Century?
Thanks for your help. _________________ SEA Speed Shooter

Well, I have a 270 Rotelar in Copal #1. I use other lenses in #1 shutters (Compur, Copal, Prontor Press) on my Century.
But and however the Rotelar's rear cell is large. I never tried to use the lens 'cos I bought it for the shutter. I just checked. The lens' rear cell is too big to wriggle through the gate, let alone pass through the front standard's lens throat.
So give up on the Rotelar. The longest standard issue tele for the Century is the 10"/5.6 TeleOptar (TeleRaptar when sold by Wollensak). That's what you want. |
