I have a 5x7 Press Graflex (stationary back) of my grandparents with a ground glass viewer in the rear. Obviously, plate holders are securely pressed against the light seals by the springs of that viewer. However, there are no guide strips, so to speak, to hold a Graflex roll film holder securely into place. There are two long strips of brass, top and bottom, that have retangular slits near each end about an 1/8" wide and 3/8" long (with a corresponding hole in the wood underneath about 1/8" deep). Was something inserted into those slots, original or as an accessory, that would guide and hold a roll film holder, or just a dual plate holder, into place when the viewer is removed?
Thanks for your reply! |

The Press Graflex is a Reflex camera. Click on the site search button, put press graflex in the search term box, check the search for all terms dot, select reflex help in the Forum box and leave all other options at default.
You will get 38 hits. Unknown if the info you need will be there or not. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
