Hi everyone

I also acquired recently a KE-12(1) camera as part of a KS4-A set (with a nice "morgue" sticker on it 😱).

1. Would anyone have any cleaning and restoration idea to share? I think the main issue are the four bottom corners with the kaki paint missing. I am not necessarily trying to make the camera look mint but I would like to make sure those areas do not degrade further.

2. I was considering mounting the Aero Ektar lens I have on it (a military lens on a military camera) and adjust the rangefinder. Does it make sense to everyone or is there any feature of that camera that could be an issue while using the lens?

Your camera is a Pacemaker Speed Graphic, military version.

The difference between the standard production and the military is the military version does not have a body release.

The body covering is leatherette, aka naugahyde.
