Ciroflex lens cap doesn't fit my Model C

I recently purchased a CiroFlex Model C and the seller sent the lens cap separately after he misplaced it. When it arrived it didn't fit the camera. There is about 1/8" worth of wiggle room all around and the cap does not appear to be missing anything, or is it? There's felt all around the inside of the cap as far as I can see. I'll post photos later.

Is it loose on both lens?
Sheet felt and yarn are readily available at craft and yard goods stores.
Measure the outside diameter of the lens and the inside diameter of the lens cap then divide the difference by 2 to find the thickness of the material needed to be bonded to the edges of the cap to get it to fit snugly.
