I was using the lens shutter and the focal plane shutter chose to close. No warning and no signs. Any suggestions or do I need to check the shutters, lens and focal plane every time I take the camera out of the camera bag or backpack? |

Check the speed window and make sure it is at O.
Anniversary Speed has a release lock that makes it difficult to operate the trip lever, Pacemaker Speed put the Front/Back/Trip switch to Front. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

Belated thanks. I read it the day it was posted and I reread it today. I believe the the switch was on Front when the rear shutter chose to close. |

Time to take the release plate apart and see what is going on in there. Suspect an out of position part or heavy wear. |
