Does anyone with shutter-servicing experience know what the correct resting gap should be between the internal copper synch contacts? Please note that this query is for the Graphex (X) shutter (electronic flash synch only) #2, not the fully-synched shutters featured in the GraphexShutterService.pdf manual from http://www.southbristolviews.com. |

I just operate the shutter on B holding the setting lever and slowly allowing the shutter to operate after releasing the trip lever until the shutter blades just reach full open then look at the gap. Then I release it to operate fully and adjust the contact gap as needed to get the contacts to just make when the blades reach 95% to 100% of full open.
I test by attaching an Ohm meter to the Bi Post and watching for contact to be made while manually retarding the shutter operation from trip to full open.
The full sync service manual you referenced is the only service manual I have seen for the Graphex/Rapax shutter. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
