My mother asked me to do something with her old camera equiptment. and she has 2 Singer Graflex Strob 250. One had a dry cell battery in it and the conntacts are a little corroded, the other had no battery but is also corroded.I am just wondering if i should just throw them in the trash or are they still usable, Everything else is good but the corrosion makes me wonder.
Thank you

In addition to my last post these have not been used in over 15 years but i noticed when i turned on the power pack the amber light actually blinked,
I'm amazed.

clean the corrosion off with a metal polishing scotch brite pad or similar.
if the light blinks on the power pack it indicates its operating but the nicad batteries may need replacing.
the heads may be repairable if they are not working.
the strobe 250 comes up on ebay occasionally as do its associated power packs.
list them on ebay, don't toss in the trash. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
