|
|
Hello, just picked up a speed graphic after using a crown for a bit. The shutter selector slide doesn't lock in position to fire the leaf shutter in the lens. In order to fire the lens shutter the selctor lever has to be pushed down as well. Is this common? Is this easy fixed? am I missing something?
Any guidance gratefully received! Ta |

Thanks for such a quick response and for the links - much appreciated. Looks like the switch must be faulty, refuses to stay in the downward / front shutter position. Not a massive deal, hopefully gonna get a barrel lens to use on it anyway. Regards, Craig |

There are minor differences between the 2x3, 3x4, and 4x5 side rangefinder models from the service instructions in this linked manual.
Remove the cover only, clean, lubricate reassemble to get the selector working properly. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

Thanks so much for that info - damned if I can get the link to open though - hangs my browser every time! Will take a look inside the cover though to see what's going on. Thanks, Craig |

The linked service manual is a 6.5 mb pdf on a Windows based system.
The file is slow to download on some systems. It works fine on Firefox and Internet Explorer with adobe reader enabled in the browser.
Try www.southbristolviews.com graflex manuals, pacemaker service manual. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
