Hi guys I am new to 4X5 photography and I am having an issue. I cannot get my shutter to open so that I can view my shot to focus. I have a Crown Graphic and I have pushed the silver switch that is supposed to open the shutter and it is not working any suggestions?

Here's a link to the manual for the Pacemaker Graphics (pp. 4-7 explain the different shutter types):

The steps I follow: 1. Make sure the lens is wide open. 2. Set the shutter speed to T. 3. Cock the shutter. 4. Trip the shutter.
The shutter should now stay open until it is tripped again. If it doesn't, the shutter may need repair or cleaning.
