|
|
Hello, I recently aquired a hardly used 2x3 Series B RB serial no. 372108. (December 1945) with a beautiful 127mm coated Ektar also 1945 vintage.
The front door covering has shrunk and pulled loose from three of the four rivets.
What should I use to remove the old adhesive from the door and the covering? I have seen the post by 45PSS, but I don't know if it applies to a vintage adhesive.
What should I use to reattach the covering to the door? I have Elmer’s Rubber Cement, Elmer’s White Glue and Elmer’s Household Cement lying around, of course, I am not limited to these products.
Thanks In Advance, Tom |

In http://graflex.org/helpboard/viewtopic.php?t=5539 evegir used water which did the trick and as long as the door doesn't soak for an hour or so it should not cause a problem.
As for reattachment using the current on hand the rubber cement or nonflammable contact cement (my preference) should work fine. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |
