|
Does anyone out there know someone who has a Tech Manual for the 4x5 C-6 Beseler outfit?
I'd just like to know the TM number of it. I assume the Army/Air Force had one as they had a manual for everything!
Photos of the outfit here:

Apparently the Air Force bought the Besesler to replace the C-6 Pacemaker Speed but had a lot of rear shutter problems and returned to Graflex.
Cheers,

Hi Moskva 4,
Unfortunately the Beseler 4x5 is a rare camera and the C-6 version is very rare so not much reference material exists. I have never seen a civilian brochure or manual but I can tell you the US Air Force Beseler C-6 Manual is T.O. (Technical Order) 10B1-6-3-11 dated 30 November 1958. That is all I have been able to find out.
It is strange there is not much information as Beseler was quite a large business, famous for its photographic enlargers and slightly rebadged Topcon cameras.
Cheers,
Bruce

Well, Beseler is still in business; see http://www.beselerphoto.com/index.html
Matter of fact, their executive offices are in Stroudsburg, PA, not too far from where I live! Who woulda known? I've owned a Beseler 23CII enlarger for many years; it has truly been a lifetime investment.
I presume that the other posters to this thread have googled up and contacted Beseler to see whether they have the desired documentation on file. There might be military sources as well, but I'm certainly not qualified to give or seek advice in that area! |
