Does anyone know when the Press model changed the lens door design?
I've seen it attached inside, as well as attached to the outside.
Most of the catalogues show the Press with the lens door open, so, of course, they aren't any help. |

THE PHOTO IN THE PAINE CATALOG SHOWS AN EARLY MODEL (APPROX 1907) WHICH SHOWS THE ENTIRE FRONT OPEN "TO FACILITATE REMOVAL OF MOUNTED LENS" APPEARS TO ME THAT THE DOOR WOULD HAVE TO HAVE BEEN MOUNTED ON THE OUTSIDE ON THIS ONE! I HAVE (2) PRESS CAMERAS BOTH FROM Approx 1915, DOORS ON BOTH HINGED ON THE OUTSIDE!
