I had some mishap today and a sheet of Polapan 54 puked inside my 545.
I printed out the SKGrimes exploded view and opened it up to clean it.
I can't see well enough where the roller springs get hooked in that drawing.
Here is a scanner view of the way I put it back together to start with.

I would really appreciate it if someone could post or email me (murrayatuptowngallery
@yahoo.com a similar scan or photo showing the correct placement.
Thank you
Murray

Murray,
I wish I could provide a scan, but can't right now...
I took a quick look at mine and here's how mine is:
Your pic shows a loose tip of the spring hanging in mid air. It should not be! That tip is supposed to be held in under a bulge in the case. If you look at the holder, as in your pic, stright down from the big silver screw head. The body goes from narrow to wide just about where the big cover is. That loose tip should hold in place where the body gets wide. This puts a downward pressure on the rubber roller when the rollers are in place, in effect closing the light trap.
I'm not usually good at descibing these things... But if you take the holder as in the pic and push that loose tip down towards the bent loop of the same spring and then catch it into the body where it widens, it should be right...
Maybe someone else can do better or supply a pic?

Thanks.
I knew the spring ends were unattached, but it was an attempt to quit where I was with out forgtettign which pieces went on what side, etc., get the washer in the right place, etc.
This will help, and I remembered where there's another holder at work I can peek at today...hopefully it's not locked up. |

All set, I think.
Rollers seem to have some springiness to them, and I was able to insert film.
There was no sun here today however.
Thanks |

Good to hear Murray. Thank goodness I don't have to make the room to scan mine
