Does anybody have a Heiland solenoid with patent numbers on it?
I'm having an... er... discussion about who invented what solenoid. He referenced the patent numbers off an HR and I don't remember ever seeing patent numbers on an HR solenoid. Graflex solenoid yet, but not an HR.

Patent # on the box is 2161355. The same # is stamped on the gizmo as well.

Yeah I'm in the shuttle diplomat behind the scenes of that ebay auction.
That patent number was filed in '37 and issued in '39 and also shows up on the Graflex solenoid.
While I don't think Irving Jacobson had anything to do with the HR solenoid, I'm trying to find proof that royalties might have something to do with his patent on Sidney O. Lindahl's solenoid.
