i just bought a lot of bulb flashes at a local camera auction. In the lot was a All blacked out graflex flash. it looks to be origionally black. ive never seen one like this. so i was wondering if it is rare or valuable?

During WWII I seem to recall there were "blackout bulbs." Probably not actually black, but dark red. Probably for infrared uses.

IIRC there were both all black and all olive drab finished outfits produced for the military during WW II. This included flash guns as well as cameras, cases, tripods etc.
There were also "Blackout" infrared flash bulbs made many years ago. Some called those bulbs "Blackmail Bulbs" as it was not obvious when one of them was fired.
