This web site does a great job of covering the finder mask choices for RH8 (23) and RH12 (22); however, I badly need information for the mask part numbers for the 6x7 format (RH10) for various focal lengths. Can someone post a reply and indicate the mask part numbers for RH10 on Century Graphic w/101mm lens, RH10 on 4x5 Graphic with 135mm lens, etc. A former question on this yielded the answer for the RH8 - this won't work since the RH10 covers less of the horizontal space. Did Graflex ever publish this in later documentation? My 1958 Morgan/Morgan book is too early to make mention of the RH10. Thanks.... |

Cat. no. 9105-2. That is a no. 2 mask for the short finder on the Century for 92-101 mm lenses. And yes, that will be too wide for the 6x7 format---but that's the mask for 2-1/4 x 2-3/4 inch picture size listed by Graflex as of 8/65 on Form No. 1804, "Rapid-Vance RH/20 Roll Film Holder Guidebook." (RH20 and RH10 holders produce the same size image.) Keep in mind that the optical finder is by no means a precision viewing instrument, and any mask will be only an approximation of what the film actually "sees."
The same source lists Cat. no. 9105-10, a no. 10 mask, for 127-138 mm lenses.

Thanks for the information. I'll use these masks but be somewhat cautious about framing too close to the side edges. Thus, the same masks that are used for the RH-8 will be used for the RH-10.
