The holders are wooden and unnamed
but 6.5x9(cms) 2.5x3.5(in)film is too big and a test with some 120 roll film still wont fit.
Is this a european Vs US film thing again are there 2 sizes of ' 6x9' film? |

Yes, I think these are two different sizes.
I have an assortment of 19 2x3" holders of various brands, wooden, metal, and plastic. I've been shooting Efke PL 100 and J&C Classic 200, which you can get from jandcphotography.com. The film seems to fit quite loosely in the holders. I don't know if that's just how they're cutting it, or if it's always been that way. |

Are these sheet film holders? 6.5X9 is a european film size. You ask in your post about holders for a Busch Pressman? Do these holders fit the camera? You may want to acquire some 2X3 Graphic sheet film holders. It would be easier to match film to them, as it is the modern standard in the US. J&C PHoto may have both sizes of film in limited choices. |

It's worth noting that neither the British 2½x3½-in. size (of which 5x7 is a multiple) nor the American 2¼x3¼-in. size measures 6x9cm. The first works out to about 63.5x89 mm., which is pretty close; the second, to about 56x82.5 mm.
I don't know whether there is a third format that really does measure 60x90mm., but it would be interesting to find out. |
