Has any body noticed that on most Riteway film holders there's a number next to the name on the darkslide cover?
Anybody know what it means? I had hoped that it had something to do with a number that would show up on the film, but too many new-old-stock boxes of 3 holders have the same number stamped on them.
Okay. that idea went out the window, but I've got another threory, but I need your help. Go check your film holders does anybody have holders with numbers above 40? |

After I deal with my trick-or-treaters I'll check the numbers on some of the holders and see if there is any trend. My guess would be a batch number, but why they would need to assign it is unclear.
Hmmm... I wonder how the trick-or-treat crowd would react to a press 25?

Like deer in the headlights. At least that's what I got when I shot kids with my mini speed and syncronizer flash unit. I even gave one of my neighbor kids a spent bulb to take back to their parents. Kinda like a hello card from me!! |

Long ago in a pawn shop I came across a stash of Riteways, part of a photographer's kit. Each Riteway was consecutively numbered so I thought that Riteway put the numbers on so I wouldn't have to number the filmholders myself. Of course it makes it hard when you're buying holders off eBay---I end up with duplicate numbers and skipped numbers.
