I thought about posting this to photo.net but I thought some of you guys might have more experience with what I'm wanting to do than the 35mm guys on that forum. I would like to shoot some portraits on black and white using incandescent lighting. I'll be using 4x5 Tri-X Pan Pro. I've been out of photography for some 30 years but I remember something about light meters not giving true readings with incandescent. Any thoughts would be appreciated. |

Yeah the cell in the light meter doesn't react perfectly with the film or your eye, but I think the variation is negligable.
A bigger factor is that Tri-X is not as sensitive to yellow light as it is to blue, so rate it around 160. |
