Has anyone had experience with replacing the 5x7 back on a 5x7 B Graflex. I can't find holders for it that don't leak So I thought to replace the old back that uses hideously old and fragile slotted holders with a contemporary one. I have a 5x7 dearforf back that could be a replacement. Anyone had any experience here?

There are many others on this site who are much more knowledgable about the answer to your question than I. But I hate to see you ignored so I will offer an opinion. First, may I point that serious Graflex users are proud of their equipment and may not be likely to respond favorable your terminology, "hideously old and fragile slotted holders". In fact, many Graflex owners are using these holders and are producing wonderful images with them. The fact that they use original accessories with these camers just adds to their pride. I am a novice and have never had any leaking problems with the slotted holders. Leaking holders is discussed on this site. There are solutions. By looking at previous posts you may find the help you need. Or by phrasing your question different you may get lots of help. The knowledge and experience of those who use this site is unbelievable. |
