I've got a Graflite #2773. The black cap at the bottom is screwed into a short metal tube which, in turn, slides into the main body of the flash. Only one problem - when there are batteries in the unit, the spring pushes the short, threaded tube and black cap off. Any ideas? How is this supposed to work?
Thanks,
Brett |

Whoa there. The 2773 battery case takes 3 batteries. You unscrew the black cap at the botton, put them in, then screw the cap back on the CASE. I don't know what this "short metal tube that slides into the {case]" is. There were battery extensions which allowed one to add an extra battery to the case, but they screwed onto the case, and couldn't slide up into it. There is a liner inside the case, but it doesn't screw to anything. Try removing the cap from that tube, and see if it will screw onto the case when filled with 3 batteries. The spring is necessary to make the right electrical contact. |
