Hello
I wanna to ask you, if you know where can I find Graflex 3-Cell Flash Unit, becouse on EBay the prices are way to much for me. All those ******** fans rised the price becouse of that laser swords, or something like that...
I have my personal collection of Graflex cameras, and for months Im trying to get 3-Cell Flash unit, but I couldnt find it anywhere.
So if you know, where can I find it, please tell me, but please, not on eBay, 150$ is too much for me.
Thank you

Expect a very cold reply here. Too many SW fans have tried the very same ploy. This subject brought down the helpboard at one time, so we're all a bit touchy about this subject.
At one time I would ask for the name, model and the serial number and have another member check it to see if you were legit.
But even if you were, I doubt there would be any place willing to part with a flash for half or 2/3 the going rate.
While I'm sure you read the FAQ about not posting wanted or *******s post I will acknowledge that you were looking for a source, not the object. I say this hoping it will keep from others pointing out the same.
The only thing I suggest you do is watch ebay, prices have fallen dramatically in the last few years. |

I know that SW fans drive you crazy. Me too, becouse I cant imagine that someone destroys flash unit to get some thing from the movie... I tried on eBay, but prices are high, and many people sell flash units allready destroyed.
So Im begging you. help me to find Flash Unit (if its possible, that works, if not, I will give it for repair)
Please |

Look, if ALL you want is a 3-cell flash unit, then the later models are readily available, at reasonable costs, from a variety of locations.
On the other hand, if you are a collector [you did mention a "personal collection"], and are looking for an older model, then you must join all the other collectors out there that want one, and pay the going rate.
For sure, begging won't help. So, go looking, and stop whining, like the kid you obviously are!

I tried the long way around, looking for the parts to assemble one myself, but in the end decided to follow the advice of other offered here and just bought one whole. The only thing I can suggest is look for other auction sites (Amazon has an auction site I think) or else put out a VERY wide net. The only two reasons I could afford my flash (which came with the proper cord and a flash pan)were because the seller listed it under "Photographic equipment" instead of "movie prop," and because he listed it as "Speed Graphic flash" instead of "Graflex flash." Even so, lots of people bid on it... no matter how hard you try, it will be expensive.

Don't watch for "Graflex flash" search ebay for "Speed Graphic, crown Graphic, etc." many times the camera and the flash will go for $50 more than the flash alone. I paid $200 for a pacemaker speed, Graflex flash, case, filmholders, and other odds and ends.
So I can rationalize that I paid $150 for the camera and $50 for the flash. Or I can sell the camera and case for what I paid for it and keep the flash.
Now if you just don't have the cash |
