...read the story in Speed graphic Help board. A question: using a few extra bulbs later, shot from close distance, I noticed a hotspot in the center of the image. I was using the medium sized bulbs in an adapter with the 7 inch reflector. Does the reflector normally give that center hot spot, or is it just with the smaller bulb. In the future I wil probably be using the 5 inch reflector with the proper bulbs.

Never tried to use the #25 with 7 inch reflector, but I do not get hot spots using the 5 inch reflector. Russ |

Yes, it was a very interesting picture of a friend's 6-month old daughter: background perfectly exposed, someone's hand coming in from the edge of the frame perfectly exposed, even my knee (I was sitting in a chair when I shot) perfectly exposed, but little Zoey came out in the middle of the frame as a big white smear with two dots for eyes, looked like she had just caught fire! Probably better coverage from a distance as the light spreads.
