Me too, and I wondered about that also when I first looked it over, so that may be the reason I didn't mess with it any further, at my age (or any age) I didn't need that much voltage re-arranging my heart rhythm.

Now I remember the second reason I didn't mess with it further, I don't have a lens/shutter that uses a solenoid, so what was I thinking of when I bought it, at any rate I didn't pay a lot for it, but it sure is a beautiful piece to look at and certainly a conversation starter for any camera that it might be attached to (as with Les's Speed Graphic).
I really appreciate the pdf. link for the Sylvania OA5 Trigger Tube, but now it's starting to make me want to explore the fool thing again , but I suppose I should leave it alone and move on to another project, but good luck with your projects, Les.
