I would like to use a modern flash with my Superspeed Graphic. I can't get the flash contacts to show any kind of electrical continuity when I fire the shutter. Can I fire the flash directly from the romote contacts on the side of the camera by using a four pole momentary contact button. Would the flash be in Sync. with the shutter? |

Strobes will sync with leaf shutters in the lens only. If the shutter contacts do not work, service the shutter. Focal Plane Shutters in Graflex/Graphic cameras only sync with FP bulbs.

Uh, the Superspeed camera didn't have a focal plane shutter.
Nevertheless, the recommendation to service the lens shutter is correct. Fred Lustig can do it for you. |
