|
|
I picked up another Super Graphic on craigslist. I sprayed everything electrical with contact cleaner and installed new batteries. Pressing the red button, the solenoid made a bit of noise, but I couldn't see it moving. I removed the lens board, then sprayed electrical contact cleaner in the hole where the solenoid activates the lens. After a good bit of spraying and activating the red button several times, the solenoid began to work.
Should some kind of lube be sprayed into the hole to keep the solenoid from gumming up again? I was thinking of silicone spray. It would lube a bit and prevent corrosion. |
