Hi All,
I'm a newbie here and have a 2x3 century graphic with 100mm zeiss tessar 2 roll film backs, one 6x9 the older style with the knob on top and one a newer singer style 6x7 with the blue spring loaded advance. The newer back lever doesn't retract.
I've heard that the newer style with the extra rollers performs better because it has extra rollers, Since the newer one doesn't appear to work right, I'm wondering if I can combine the parts and use the knob top with the newer style back with extra rollers and supposedly flatter film
can i combine them?

Some of the later rapid advance (RH) inserts have a notch that prevents the inserts from interchanging.
Search the site for " roll film holder " and check "all the terms". You might even figure out how to fix the lever wind, possible broken spring or just dirty.
And its Knob. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

thanks, I thought that I would ask as these items aren't being produced anymore and I would not want to needlessly waste something that was repairable.
I'm not sure where I read it but I believe that I've seen several places where the newer lever style has a spring that is either hard to replace or replacement springs are unavailable. |
