It is my understanding that these solenoids introduce a delay between pressing the button on the flashgun and when the shutter fires. This is correct?
At present there is no way I can use a big bulb unless it was at 25th as my Crown Graphic has a Supermatic shutter with 'X' contact only. |

Supermatic or Graphex - No internal flash sync.
Flash Supermatic - Internal flash sync for type M and type F flash bulbs.
Graphex full sync- Internal flash sync for Type M, Type F flash bulbs and electronic flash.
Supermatic X or Graphex X - flash sync for electronic flash only.
Any 3 cell handle mount bulb type flash synchronizer can be used to trip a solenoid connected to any shutter with a lever release. Graflex, Graflite, Heiland, ect. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

As I said it was my understanding that there was a delay between when the solenoid is energised and the shutter is tripped. This delay would give a flashbulb time to reach full brightness when the shutter opens. That is what I am hoping is the case anyway. |
