Henry,
Look at the auction listing pictures, the focus knobs for the standards are on the left. Look at the pictures on the home page articles, the focus knobs are on the right.
Easy enough to disconnect the back and front standard frames from the standard arms, reverse them, and reattach for left handed operation. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

OK, got it, Charles. I didn't realize you could so easily reverse the parts. Still, why would you need to? There are focussing knobs on both sides, no?
[Later.] So the black knobs are the focussing knobs. Now I see. But is it not possible to just reverse the bracket down there under the track, by removing the knurled (silvered) knobs from underneath the standard mount and turning the bracket around? Seems that would be simpler. |

Greetings, View fans!
I wrote the article on the Graphic View cameras. Those are my cameras in the article. I have a number of Views and View II's, and none of them have reversed standards. The camera in the article that is said to have a reversed standard is probably the same camera as the one that is said not to have to have the reversed standard (rise and tilt). The angle of one of the images apparently creates the illusion that the standard is reversed. But it is not! I promise!
They could certainly be reversed, but I had never seen it before this post.
Best regards,
