1).Neutralize the battery acid: wet with water and coat with backing soda. When the backing soda quits bubbling rinse it off and let the item dry.
WARNING: DO NOT PUT BACKING SODA IN A WET CELL BATTERY, IT MAY EXPLODE!
2).Remove the corrison residue with fine grit sand paper (80 to 150 grit depending on severity). Scotch Bright pads or emery cloth can be used as subitutes.
3). Replate areas that appearence requires.

Under his advice, I think I might go with a graflite. Seems cheaper and am told that it flashes better, |
