I've noticed my Anniversary Graphic rail seems loose, the tension
hold seems to be gone, when I pull the front standard onto the
main part of the focusing rail and lock the standard, tilting the
camera facing down the rail slides forward, the rail lock isn't engaged,
sometimes very fast depending on the lens that's mounted at the time.
I know a heavier lens like a Wolly 15 inch will over power the friction
but this is happening with a empty front standard.

The repair manuals online suck in terms of the parts illustrations,
there seems to be a part that I don't recall seeing when I CL'd
the Anni, they must have been there since the looseness wasn't there before
I CL'd it, which are the tension pads ( # 24250 ) that are underneath
the set screw of the pinion tension lock. I think I may have lost them.

How far does the yoke lock lever move?
See the service manual paragraph 2C in the bed block and guide replacement and adjustment.

With the lever unlocked straight ahead at 12 o'clock the lever should lock the rails around 2 to 2:30. If the lock lever moves to 3 to 6 o'clock without locking the rails then try a .005 to .010 washer between the lock lever and bed guide as this may solve the problem.

Another possibility is the lock screw 24246 was not set properly on reassembly. Remove the lock lever, turn the lock screw until it bottoms and back off 1/8 turn, reattach the lock lever and test.

The pads will be small rectangular or round pieces of brass that are concave on one side to match the curvature of the pinion shaft. I'm not sure how thick they are, probably .005 to .020 inch.

The Lever locks the rails about 3 o'clock, I probably tossed the pad thinking it was some
scrap, thanks for the description of the pads, I made a new one from 2mm brass rod
and the friction should make the concave surface, they're what I'm missing.
