Hey all

I just got a copy of Richards Paime book A Review of Graflex.
its not bad. but in it he says that a 1962 Deluxe Gary-Body Century with a 80mm Schneider Xenotar ,, a 65mm Angulon,, & a 8" (203mm) Tele-optar
Version was called the Century Professional!!

Now I have never hearded any thing about that here!!

Now I have a Century Special! & it has Special engraved on the botem lens lock bar. they came with a 101 Graftar that was a special buy that Graflex
got from Rodenstock.

SO would the Century Professional have any marking saying Professional
on it?

ANYWAY if you ask me the Century Graphic has always been a Professional

Banjo, my gray/red Century, manufactured in 1954, has no "professional" label on it. It appears to be the same gray/red combo used on the Graphic View. Mine just says "Century GRAPHIC" on the top slider of the front standard;the bottom slider has no lettering. Mine came equipped with the 103 Graftar in Century shutter with M-F-X synch and a Kalart. Great little camera for shooting 120!

The Graflex Historic Quarterly, 4th Qtr. 2010, featured an article entitled "The Century Professional" by Ken Metcalf. It described the Century Professional as having a gray body with black bellows as opposed to the flashier red bellows.
Apparently the Professional was known as "Outfit P" and included the camera and a laundry list of otherwise optional accessories described in the article.
There was no mention in the article of any marking on the camera itself identifying it as part of the Professional outfit.

that helps some
Ken Metcalf has it looking like 1966 & up maybe the dates for Century Professional
but in Richards Paime book its a 1962 Century camera that he shows

And Ken shows that its not a kit with all 3 lens just one but a choice
of 3 lens
but with other accessories OUTFIT
