Hello,
I was wondering where I could buy a leather strap for the right side of my Pacemaker Crown Graphic. Also, what year was mine made? Its serial number is 928062. It has a kalart rangefinder. _________________ Thanks!

hey Ronrut B
just so you know the rangerfinder was always an Otion AND could be add at any time
Post-war production brought coated lens and lenses in shutters, body release, folding infinity stops. Side mounted rangefinder replaced by top rangefinder on 4x5" Graphics in 1955.
so it looks like some one add it on yours as it would have been goten with the
top rangefinder & then had the side rangefinder then add
and some people did not like the top rangefinder
how in 1958 was the NEW Super Graphic & soon the Super Speed the rangefinder was not an Otion any more as it was made in to the camera
to start with |

I have the lugs, but I would like an original strap. Does anyone make/sell them? Whoever converted it was smart, because the kalart is better, and I cant even tell it was modified! It's a good camera. Thanks for the help! _________________ Thanks!

http://mpex.com/ use to carry a replacement handle, call them or visit your local shoe/saddle repair shop and inquire about having one made.

Late 1957.

I had a 1956 Speed with a Kalart. There have been a few post in the past about post 1955 cameras with side rangefinders.
A camera could be special ordered to suit the photographers request. If there are no holes on the top of the camera where the top rf was removed then it is factory. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

will iTs not realy modified as a new Kalart rangefinder
come with a template that you taped in place & drilled
5 holes just like they did at Graflex or at Busch
Now I just undressed a Century Graphic its molded
plastic-bodied just under the leatheret the holes are
all there for puting on Handle Lugs & /or Kalart
rangefinder you just have to drill them all the way
though as they are about 1/2 way though |

any 1" strap 12" to 16" long
on my century is 15" its 3 layers as it is now
the two ends of the strap has snaps about 3/4" apart so that it
can be adjusted to fit you |

now are you thanking about one off of an older camera?
for making one of them you have to take off the lugs
and have them sewn on to the lugs |

Yes on you 1950 would have had a plastic strap
ANY 1" belt or strap will work if it will go into the lugs |
