Banjo, I thnk y'r new Toyo came from the same shop as Wista and Horseman roll holders. IIRC you have 2x3 Horseman holders that can't be attached to a 2x3 Pacemaker Graflok.
When you get the Toyo, please tell me whether I'm wrong. I hope I am. |

will Dan
its not like a horseman at all
Toyo 69 6X9 120 Roll Film Holder for 2X3 Cameras, Good User (330774035175)
its a slidein on some cameras !!
and the Horseman & Wista are not the same I tryed to change out the inserts
and they don't mach at all. Now the Arca Swiss filmholders also look alot like a
Horseman
But you can make the Horseman work by taking off about 1mm of the rige
on the lift hand side of a Graflok back so the Horseman will set down flat
about 5 mintes or less !
I really like the Horseman back about the best of all my backs
I have Graflex 22, 23, RH8, RH10, RH12, RH20, Mamiya RB67 Suydam,
Adapt-a-roll, Graham / Peerless, Horseman & Wista AND will have a Toyo soon
I will lit you know how I like it. |

Hey All
I got in today this Toyo 69 6X9 120 Roll Film Holder for 2X3 Cameras
AND JUST SO YOUALL can know its not much good as it DON'T work on
a true Graflok back!!
OK I teach photography with the Century Graphic. and they ask what they need to buy And if I dont know If it will work or not I cant tell them what to buy so I keep buying thing so I can see if its will work!
so I can know what will work or not!!OK this Toyo is a Graphic tipe rollfilm back but it wont work on any Graflex Cameras It wont work on a Linhof or a Horseman or a Busch Pressman C or a Burke & James Watson!!!it will work on a Galvin AND on some Arca Swiss 6x9 AND it mite work on a Toyo BUT I don't owen one to try!!
SO if you ask me its not very much good!!
It is a good made rollfilm holder! just don't work on most of the cameras that most of us who use 23 have!!
A new one sale for over $1200.oo
so I would like to know what a new Toyo 23 camera that it made for cost!! |

Hey banjo, what's the problem with it? I mean, what keeps it from fitting a normal 2x3 Graflok?
I wonder if it would attach to a 2x3 Cambo back. I have both flavors, "International," which isn't Graflok 'cos the roll holder replaces the whole back, and bail, which accepts sheet film holders and 2x3 AAR 620s.
So that's why you have all that 2x3 stuff. I'd wondered whether you were an especially dedicated and very specialized collector. |
