That's possible, but they would have had to disassemble the back to grind the entire rear fram edge. The thickness is even to .001 all the way around. And the finish on the rear does look exactly like the finish on the front edge...

A Super from the first batch of 5000 has the serial number stamped on the inside edge of the front body trim, right side, mid way between the range finder and bed. Later versions have the serial number stamped into the outside edge of the body trim, right side, above the battery door opening. |
