On the Grafmatic 45 on the cover assembly 317731G2, the 31773 Spring - Drawer snapped next to the rivet. Can the be repaired by gluing with Super Glue or Gorilla Glue? Any idea where I can get replacement springs?

Super glue and Gorilla glue are too rigid/brittle when dry. Contact cement or rubber cement may work. _________________ The best camera ever made is the one that YOU enjoy using and produces the image quality that satifies YOU. |

Rather than fabbing a new spring, I will buy another working one or one for parts.

As for spring material, the spring clips used with metal picture frames to hold the picture in the frame might work, with suitable dimensional modification. Similar flat springs are also found in aluminum window screen inserts. Try your local hardware store, frame shop, or builder supply. |
