Update 5/12/07:
Dear Customers,
Over the last few months while we have diligently tried to move and reorganize our operation's in order to overcome major stumbling blocks which have come our way, we now find ourselves in an untenable position. While we thought we had overcome the major obstacles, recent events have now changed things once again. Threats of frivolous law suits, the expense involved in defending against them and suppliers unilaterally deciding to nullify contracts and do business with competitors have made it impossible to come back as planned. We therefore regrettably have decided it's better to exit than continue to fight a battle that cannot be won.
We will not be re-opening our retail operation and wish all of our former customers the best.
We will continue to work the ULF and T-Max deals on a custom basis.
All T-Max orders already placed are still valid.
We would like to publicly thank Ilford and Kodak for their continued support during these difficult times.

I'm glad I had the foresight to stock up on several boxes of J&C Classic 2-1/4X3-1/4 cut film in the fridge! I deeply regret that they found it necessary to end their business. They were great. Fred. |

Does anyone know who actually manufactured J and C Classic film.
I last ordered ten boxes of the 2x3 J and C Classic 200 about a year ago and was getting ready to order some more when I found this post about the store closing.
Can anyone indentify another source for this film?
I really like shooting it and found the store to be very prompt when I'd order from them.
What a shame that it is closing. |

I am always willing to help as long as my personal exposure is not huge. I have no idea what overseas freight costs are, but it is worth thinking about. Dollar conversion might be an issue too. I am not trying to make money, but I don't want to loose any either.

bob6371@sbcglobal.net | It's not a huge big deal, just a pain. I grew up in the south bay (RPV) and most of my family still lives there (I'm the odd sheep living overseas :p). It's just having to poke one (usually mom) into driving all the way into LA for a few sheets of Efke makes me feel guilty.
If you'll take PayPal I might take you up on that. _________________ Sometimes I Take Pictures

What a shame that it is closing. | It's rebranded Fortepan 400. I tried it in 35mm and found it too grainy. At 4x5 that's not such a huge deal, though _________________ Sometimes I Take Pictures

http://bhphotovideo.com has Efke 2x3 in several flavors. May have to wait a week since it isn't a regularly stocked item. |

Digitaltruth.com is carrying Efke film in several flavors. They are starting to stock a lot of interesting stuff. Check it out. _________________ Glenn
