I have three grafmatics; one is actually a Fuji version, but seems to be identical, one is made in England by Wray under licence from Graflex, and the third is a standard Graflex one.
The Fuji one is perfect, the Wray one is good externally, but had a small light leak, now fixed, and had only four septa, three of which were bent. A few years ago I picked up the Graflex one at a camera fair for a pound; various bits were missing or broken, but it had a perfect set of septa, which is why I bought it, and they found their way into the Wray one.
I was about to throw out the remains of the Graflex one last night, when I noticed that it still has the numbering wheel, which is missing from the Wray one. Is it possible to transfer this wheel to the Wray holder? It looks from the outside like it's been rivited in, but I haven't tried taking the thing apart yet. _________________ Stephen Furley |
