| I am looking for a graflok back for a speed graphic 2X3 (I want to swap out the spring back so I can shoot roll film). Know of a good place to find one? |

Ebay is probably going to be your best bet, or perhaps Midwest, they may have a line on one or two.

Loose Graflok backs are expensive, cameras with Graflok backs are often less expensive. Its somewhat barbaric, but keep an eye out for a 2x3 Speed or Crown with Graflok, bearing in mind how much you're likely to be able to sell it for with a spring back, how much the lens will bring, and so one.
If you want to shoot roll film with your camera, there's a less expensive way still. Buy a 2x3 Adapt-A-Roll 620. I use 'em, they can be lived with.

| And then there's the special spring set (I have one and it works) that allows you to attach a roll film back to your spring back. You simply remove the old springs and focusing panel and replace with the spring kit. You gotta have your Rangefinder and focus scale all calibrated with this method, because you've given up the ground glass back. Fred. |

Before you rush out and buy one, understand that with the special spring set the roll holder is permanently fixed to the back. This limits you to using the one lens the rangefinder is set up for. If that's what you want, great. But if you want to use more than one lens, this isn't the solution for you.

| The springs are attached with the original spring back's 2 screws. The springs secure the rollfilm back to the camera. A couple of minutes is all it takes to use the same two screws to put your spring back with the focusing panel back on the camera. A bit cumbersome, but do-able. Fred. |

There is another way to use your focus panel with the special springs. Remove the stock springs from the panel, then cut a saw kerf down the center of the panel for the special springs to slide through. I had one of these at one time. Not the ideal setup, in my book, but it worked perfectly fine. I have since passed the whole thing on to someone else who is now using it, and I have a Graflok after much hunting for an affordable one.
