I have a large studio camera stand and need to know an approximate evaluation for it.
It is very similar to the one pictured on the following address:

If anyone can direct me to a source it would be much appreciated.

I can't give you a value, but I can tell you that these don't attract much interest. Too big and awkward to be practical, nowadays. Often, the stand with the camera on it go for little.

I'd agre with Glenn. These things are usually "give-aways" as no one is willing to either pack & ship or pay for it. You can sometimes find a person who wants one and is local enough to come pick it up. You still won't get much for it unfortunately. I hate the thought of how many of these have been dumped for those reasons...

Do you have just the stand, or also the camera? If you have the room and inclination, the matching cameras do come up now and then at very reasonable prices and it would be great to use one in a studio setting...

Thanks for the replies and information. I've now gotten a reply from a couple of collectors who agree with both of you. I don't have the camera with it, but will keep an eye out for one.
it really is a shame, the workmanship on them is excelent.

In addition to what has been said above--if you happen to live in or near a large enough city like New York, Los Angeles, or Chicago, old studio cameras are worth a bit more--11x14" Deardorff studio cameras particularly--since there are more potential buyers for them with studio space, close enough to pick them up.
