Oops...I shouldn't have posted this under accessories, but did.

Seems an important question.

Any ideas for making RH-8 deliver flatter film?

Sources/tricks for installing extra rollers?

Anybody tried Teflon tape or similar?

Do not advance film until ready to shoot.

But wouldn't that make the film lie *less* flat? It would want to curl back to the rolled-up shape it just had, no?

I've never noticed a film-flatness problem with my RH-10 holders. And there's another reason why I advance the film right after each shot: double-exposure prevention.

I read it somewhere, photo.net I think. Winding the film pulls it tight against the pressure plate and transport rollers, the longer it sits at the film plane position the more it tends to curl (cup) at the top and bottom edges.
A slight increase on drag tension on the supply spool spring might help keep it from cuping as fast but too much would create wind/spacing problems.
