I have a roll film back, 2x2 and 2x3. On the 2x2 back... I just used it for the first time ( bought it off Ebay ), and the negatives are great. The spacing between the photos are quite close and the last negative was just about touching the previous. There was quite a long 'leader' of blank film after the last photo. Is there anyway to fix the winding mechanism of the 2x2 back so it was space the photos a bit further apart? The back I have is the one made by Graflex with the knob ( not the lever ). Any thoughts are appreciated.

Improper frame spacing on ANY graflex roll film holder is proof that a CLA is required.
They are relatively easy to service, one or two screws difficult to access. The major difference between models is the number of teeth on the gears, disassembly/reassembly the same. Any roll manual for a knob wind will show you all you need to know to do it yourself, a lever wind manual could be used but there may be some slight differences.

| Or perhaps a major rebuild. My hated Graflex-Subsea RH-8 was shipped with gears for an RH-10 installed. In all other respects, including film counter dial, it was an RH-8. Frames overlapped and it took only 8 shots before stopping.
