Camera is from my brothers estate. He left me 20 cameras, most seem to be collectables. I don't even know how to OPEN THEM, much less use them. The only thing on the Graflex is the serial number. I don't know how to get the front open.
HELP!!

If the question is how to open the cameras, they (or at least some of them) probably are "Speed" or "Crown Graphics," notoriously baffling in this regard to those not familiar with them.
If they are, there will be an unobtrusive bulge in the leather either on the top or on the side with the handle, quite near the front. Finding it and pressing in will release a little internal latch.
It may be necessary to help the front swing down by pulling gently outward on the small metal wheels attached to the front, which mate with recesses in the sides of the camera when the front is closed. |
