Can anybody reccomend a repair shop for Graphic RH8 RH10 roll film holders, both knob & lever?
I'm looking at some on ebay and I know that they will need repair/CLA.
Thanks!

If you should decide to tackle the CLA/repairs yourself, you can get a repro Graflex roll holder manual from http://www.photobooksonline.com/ .for $10. If you should need parts, though, you're better off with Fred Lustig's services.
BTW, does anybody have the latest word on the state of Mr. Lustig's health and business? |

I, too, would be glad to have an update on Fred Lustig.
In the meanwhile, you might ask the camera repair services in your area. In my experience, many will undertake straightforward mechanical adjustment and cleaning of such things as front shutters and rollfilm adapters, if they are certain that no parts are needed.
The technician who restored my "23" rollholder, 15 years ago, was not a Graflex guy, but he said it is a straightforward piece of work.
I'd guess that anyone who can repair the backs supplied for contemporary 120 rollfilm SLRs would find a Graflex rollholder child's play -- if it doesn't need a part! |
