Hello Glenn,
Are we talking about the same 'knob'wind here??
We have 2 versions on the market..the small black one,and the large SILVER version (RH10)by GRAFLEX General Precision period.
Completely different in looks and weight. It's twice the size of the black version.
Sid.

The one I saw yesterday was with the small black knob. I don't remember ever seeing one with the large knob.
I wonder if General Precision used up a lot of parts acquired when they took over Graflex, in conjunction with parts with their own label,
such as the RH shells. The knob wind inserts that I have fit the RH shell with no problem. I think I'll go swap some innards around and see just what will swap with what.
OK, here are my findings. I have 3 different shells, Graphic 22, Graphic 23 without pin rollers, G.P. RH-10. 3 inserts of two types, 2-12 exposure knob wind and one RH-10 lever wind. All inserts fit any other shell perfectly in any combination. The only thing different is the size of the format mask in the shell. Sid, you say your holder (not just the knob) is larger than the knob winders? If so, that opens a whole new question. Hmmmmm-------

Sid, that is as mysterious as the RH lever wind holders with the chrome lever. You may have a one off item there. I suppose it's possible that it was a special order for someone with a disability that made it hard to use the smaller knob. Graflex was always good about custom building things to meet people's needs. You might have a very collectible item.
Perhaps we'll never know about this one.
